The Autism Accreditation programme provides an autism-specific quality assurance for organisations throughout the UK and across the world, by providing a unified standard of excellence and systematic framework for continuous self-examination and development. It aims to continuously improve the quality of service provision for those living with autism.
NAS’ accreditation panel commented: “The awarding panel congratulate Eden Futures upon achieving the high standards required of Autism Accreditation at its first review. To achieve accredited status with three acknowledged areas of good practise is an excellent outcome.”
Lorna Durrant, Eden Futures group autism lead, commented: “I am extremely proud of the Gloucestershire team for achieving this accreditation. Part of my role as Autism Lead is to support the progression of learning and development for all staff so they have the skills needed to deliver effective support for those living with autism.
“This accreditation is testament to the dedication and determination of the Gloucestershire team to ensure we are providing the best possible care. I’m confident that other teams within Eden Futures will achieve this accreditation in the near future.”
Eden Futures launched its first Autism Strategy in 2016 to coincide with World Autism Awareness Week. It summarised the organisations commitment and ambition to ensure they ‘get it right’ for those who receive their support and whose lives are affected by Autism.
Supported Living Service Eden Futures support over 750 people in various settings, with over 1,600 staff members working to support, sustain and develop the service.
