The property was owned by Clare Milne, a supporter of the Trust and granddaughter of AA Milne and is situated in the stunning village of Otterton, East Devon, just a few minutes from the sea.
Hannahs Development Director, Andrew Dean, said: “Clare was an Ambassador for Hannahs; she was a creative, witty and happy person who loved to entertain people in her home. After Clare sadly died in 2012 the Clare Milne Trust felt it should be opened up for others to enjoy.
“We know that some families are currently waiting more than 6 months to get a much needed accessible short break and we are delighted that Clare’s House will provide a lasting legacy for Clare and a fully accessible home from home for individuals, carers and families to enjoy.”
The house is managed by a small team of people under the umbrella of The Dame Hannah Rogers Trust and is available to book through Disabled Holidays Directory at http://www.disabledholidaydirectory.co.uk/Accessible-countryside-cottage-property-62894.html
