Calvert Trust Exmoor is gearing up for its first Spooky Cycle night ride along the Tarka Trail this Halloween weekend. Those supporting the event include North Devon’s The Voice as official radio partner, Nationwide Building Society and Lineal Software Solutions. Get your early bird ticket now!
Saturday 26 October from 5pm, Barnstaple Rugby Club
The Spooky Cycle is open to all ages and abilities with access to a bike as a great alternative to trick-or-treating for all the family to enjoy. The event is open to 400 riders to help raise much-needed funds for Clavert Trust Exmoor.
“We have been quite overwhelmed by the response to Spooky Cycle 2018. So many companies have agreed to support the event or enter a team. Although it is a ‘Ride not a Race’, I think the companies will get competitive in terms of their fundraising – well, I hope they do, said Event Organiser, Daisy Hockin.
“A number of families, organisations, and adult teams have already taken advantage of our early bird ticket prices. These discounted prices end on Thursday 27th September, one month before the event itself.”
Barnstaple Rugby Club is the site of the start and finish line and will have food available throughout the evening as well as a licensed bar. There will also be prizes given for best costume, best decorated lid, and most illuminated rider.
The Voice FM’s Managing Director, Paul Crockett, said:
“The Voice has always been a huge supporter of local communities and organisations, and we are immensely pleased and proud to be the official radio partner for Calvert Trust Exmoor’s Spooky Cycle 2018. Calvert Trust Exmoor does such an amazing job in offering an invaluable service and we are really looking forward to this year’s event being a massive success.”
In addition to promoting the Spooky Cycle event The Voice FM’s Lisa MacKenzie will be presenting the pre-cycle warm-up. Spooky Cycle 2018 is also sponsored by Isca Barum Insurance Brokers and the Big Lottery Fund, with support from Devon County Council and Barnstaple Rugby Club.
