Scottish Government withholds Commonwealth Games legacy fund over learning disabilities dispute

THE Scottish Government have vowed to withhold a six-figure Commonwealth Games legacy fund until Glasgow City Council better accommodate people with learning disabilities. Holyrood pledged £150,000 to set up a facility for adults with learning disabilities within Tollcross Swimming Centre after the Games. Disability charity takes Disneyland to court

A disability charity is taking Disneyland to court, accusing it of ‘intolerable acts against people with learning difficulties.’ The National Union of Charities for Parents with Disabled Children (UNAPEI), has lodged a legal complaint, accusing Disneyland of ‘institutional discrimination’. Gardening open day supports disabled people to find work

Shaw Trust Enterprises – Hampshire, a unique county-wide gardening service based in Basingstoke and Portsmouth, hosted a gardening open day on Saturday 7 June at its Basingstoke site.
