As Sunrise Medical launch the new Quickie Shark RT handbike, they are delighted to announce that the Quickie Shark RS (the first choice handbike for professional athletes) has scooped five awards at the Plus X awards, including Best Product of the Year 2012.
The Quickie Shark RS won in four categories: high quality, functionality, design and ergonomics, before going on to be awarded the title of ‘Best Product of the Year 2012’.
The Plus X awards recognises innovative products within the areas of technology, sport and lifestyle and presents honours for manufacturers who display quality in these areas. Products undergo a thorough evaluation by a judging panel of more than 130 renowned industry experts and trade journalists. The panel review each product in terms of innovation, quality, ease of use, functionality, ecology and ergonomics. They are looking for outstanding high quality products to receive the awards. In addition to the individual categories the panel also decide on the ‘Best Product of the Year’ which is awarded to the product which receives more ‘seals of approval’ than any other comparable product.
Previous recipients of Plus X awards have included BMW, Bose, Apple and Sony.
The Quickie Shark RS is used by a number of professional athletes including Quickie Ambassadors, Vico Merklein (Silver medal winner in the Men’s Individual H3 Handbike Road Race at London 2012 and winner of the 2012 International Wheelchair Marathon in Heidelberg) and Para-Triathlete, Jimmy Goddard.
The Quickie Shark RT has launched this month (February 2013). The innovative frame allows users to perform at their best and delivers the same outstanding performance as the Shark RS. To find out more about the Quickie Shark RT and the Quickie Shark RS visit www.SunriseMedical.com.
