ecb-logo-icon-135x160-100302Sussex have announced that they will be holding the Santander Disability Cricket Day at the County Ground for the third year running on Thursday 16 May between 10am and 2pm. 

There will be the chance for those with a disability to be coached by professionals and play in small-sided games, as well as lots of fun activities for young people and adults alike, while the Sussex junior learning disability and hearing impaired sides will both be in action on the on the day.

The ECB Cricket Factory, table cricket and a special visually impaired skill zone are included in the activities, while food and drink will be available all day.

Roger Newman, Sussex cricket board cricket development manager, said: “Disability Day was once again a real success for us last year and the event is really becoming an annual fixture in the SCCC Calendar.

“We’re committed to encouraging people with disabilities to take up the sport in a variety of capacities and this event allows us to showcase how everyone can get actively involved.

“Anyone of any age is welcome, it’s a completely free event and hopefully as a result of the day, many more people will get involved in cricket”.
