The Fulham FC squad celebrated Christmas early as they were treated to the debut of the new Christmas single, Are You Ready for Christmas? created by a group of young people attending The Children’s Trust School for children with complex education, health, therapy and care needs.

Calum Chambers, Floyd Ayite, Cyrus Christie, Joe Bryan, Jean Michael Seri and Aboubakar Kamara from the club’s Premier League side joined the young people for the festive music session and an exclusive preview of its music video.

The group of eight students, known as CedarSuperSound, were involved in every step of the song’s development, with teachers and staff using specialist equipment to enable the young people to select key words for the lyrics. Each student was provided with specialist and adapted instruments to learn and practise using different parts of their body which, in turn, allowed them independent participation.

Defender Chambers was delighted to be involved in the event, saying: “It was a real pleasure to come to The Children’s Trust today. The young people who attend the school showed us their music video – and it was amazing. I was a little overwhelmed by seeing the positive response from the young people, smiling and laughing. It was such a privilege to be part of it and meet everyone involved – they’re true superstars.”

Franz Allard of The Children’s Trust School said: “It means a great deal to have Fulham FC here to celebrate the launch of the song with our students. At The Children’s Trust School, we strive to empower young people with disabilities, and our belief is that given the opportunity, students can develop musical skills and emerge as musicians. We’re really proud of this song. Our students are proof that with the right support, music can transcend disability.”

Are You Ready for Christmas? is released on 21 December and is currently available to pre-order from iTunes. All proceeds go towards The Children’s Trust School. To download the song, visit
