On Wednesday 23rd January 2019 we are running a Disability Hiring Event in Reading, to recruit top talent with a disability in to Support Engineer roles in our UK Customer Service and Support (CSS) organisation.
The day will include several interviews and the chance to meet multiple Hiring Managers and teams while learning about Microsoft as an employer of choice. You will also get the opportunity to meet and network with members of our Disability ERG to gain their perspective on working at Microsoft.
In Customer Service and Support, we are focused on how we can Empower, Help, and Advise Microsoft customers. We engage in solving problems for customers, we collaborate and knowledge share with each other, and we innovate on solutions to enable our customers to make the most of Microsoft products.
Our team is geographically distributed, we speak many languages and we come from a variety of cultural backgrounds. We are rapidly expanding, and we are looking for talented people with a passion for solving issues and an obsession for customer happiness.
Support Engineers serve as technical resources for Microsoft’s customers and partners via phone, email or web. You will deliver unique value by collaboratively solving customer problems, providing proactive support advice, contributing to product quality and enhancements and creating self-help assets to broadly reach more customers.
Reading will be the contractual base for the role however we have a very flexible working culture and have the ability for people to work from home.
We are looking for candidates who have a passion for solving customer problems and ultimately ensuring customer satisfaction. You should be curious in nature which is key in diagnosing customer challenges.
You should also have passion for IT and IT infrastructure in particular and a desire to work in an IT Customer Support role where you will have the opportunity to learn and grow with us.
Any IT qualifications are desirable and of course Microsoft certifications (MCP / MCSE / MCSA / Azure etc) could be advantageous, however we don’t need these, and we are more interested in potential and attitude that can be developed!
