PosAbility Magazine is aware of the current news story circulating regarding one of our readers winning a competition last year and being unable to take up the holiday due to the accommodation not being wheelchair accessible. PosAbility Magazine can confirm that it has not received a complaint nor has it discussed the matter of accessibility in relation to Go Provence directly with the complainant, therefore we are unable to comment further on the precise nature or merits of the complaint.

We do however, understand the matter relates to wheelchair accessibility at Go Provence. On this basis 2A Publishing is able to confirm that it has received a copy of correspondence sent from Go Provence to the ASA Council on Wednesday 27th September 2017 supplying evidence of Go Provence accommodating wheelchair users, including documentation and photographs. Therefore it is our genuine belief that the accommodation is wheelchair accessible. This complaint is currently subject to an appeal on this basis.

PosAbility Magazine has run many successful competitions over the years with many happy winners. As a disability lifestyle magazine, PosAbility, would never knowingly promote an inaccessible destination within a competition prize. We strive to provide disabled people with a source of information on accessible services, products and destinations. We champion the rights of disabled people and we will continue to do so.
