No, it’s not a sith lord from the new Star Wars film…
It’s me enjoying a cuppa in my Help for Heroes mug, in my Help for Heroes dressing gown.
My family are very much military orientated with careers and such. My sister never leaves for work without her Help for Heroes lunch bag and my dad with his socks and t-shirts and jumpers and hoodies and…
I don’t have a long enough word count to keep going.
I am pretty sure we keep them in business is essentially what I am trying to say.
Every year my dad buys someone something from the Help for Heroes website and I eagerly wait for what I am going to receive because I love getting something from their online shop.
Having inherited the dreaded Christmas card list my dad could easily jump to the nearest pound shop and buy some semi-decent packs of 40 and get it over and done with, but no. He buys at least 50 Help for Heroes Christmas cards, painstakingly choosing the best looking or funniest designs.
This year, friends and family can expect a bulldog, some well-dressed robins and the famed little bear donning a Santa hat on some skis.
His particularly surly friends can expect an ironic bulldog under the festive writing, reading “Tis the season to be jolly”.
Help for Heroes is a great charity all-year round but it’s especially in need during the holiday period. A spokesperson for Help for Heroes reminded us: “Christmas is such an important time of year for us at Help for Heroes.
“Whilst most people are busy organising the big day and buying the perfect gifts, we must remember to think of our wounded Heroes, many of whom are still on their long recovery journeys and not able to enjoy the festive period as much as others. Christmas really is one of the easiest times of year to do your bit;
“The H4H Shop has such a great range of unique branded Christmas gifts, accessories and clothing, so you can purchase some fab presents, show your support and feel good knowing all profits go to the Charity. So make your Christmas an H4H one – snuggle up in one of our Tri-Colour Onesies, send your H4H Christmas Cards and pull an H4H Cracker. Happy Christmas!”
Why not check out the online shop and all their great products.
Don’t let my dad buy it all!
