PosAbility Magazine has teamed up with Les Cerisiers Gites to offer our readers the chance to win a one week holiday in France for up to six people.

Located in the heart of the Poitou Charentes region, Les Cerisiers Gites offers fully accessible accommodation in a beautiful part of western France. With stunning surroundings and a private pool, Les Cerisiers Gites offers a great location for a relaxing holiday, while still close enough to local towns and beaches for an enjoyable day out.

The accommodation comprises two spacious gites in a converted 19th century barn. Each gite has a ground floor double bedroom and roll in wetroom with a self-propelled shower chair. Both also feature a lowered work surface in the kitchen. Light switches and plug sockets are 1 metre high throughout and doorways are extra wide. Electric beds and hoists can be arranged on request, as can a transfer board and perching stool. Both gites have private gardens with areas for dining outdoors, free wifi and English free-to-view channels.

The accommodation is located in a small hamlet close to the tranquil town of Lezay which offers a large weekly market, good restaurants, supermarket, large outdoor swimming pool, park with play area and fishing lake. Also popular is the town’s market that takes place every Tuesday, with fresh meat, fish, vegetables, fruit and cheese all on offer as well as the likes of shoes, bags, soap and flowers. Fifteen minutes away is the market town of Melle where you can visit the oldest silver mines in Europe. The town is also home to three Romanesque churches and falls on the pilgrimage route of Santiago de Compostela. The location is also close to La Rochelle, with good beaches at the nearby Chatelaillon plage, and is also just 35 minutes from the La Vallee des singes monkey sanctuary, which also offers a great day out.

The prize consists of 7 nights’ accommodation for up to 6 people on a self-catering basis. Prize must be booked for April, May or June 2015 subject to availability. Winner can choose between gite 1 or gite 2 subject to availability. The prize is non transferable and no cash alternative can be offered. Closing date for entries is 31st January 2015.
