CARE home residents and staff have come up with a novel way of saying thank you to a manger who is moving on after four years in the role.
Braemar Lodge care home has been raising money to support a disability assistance dog through Woofability, and they have decided to name red labrador Benson after Liz Benson.
They held a farewell party for Mrs Benson and also handed over a cheque for £1,780 to Woofability.
Mrs Benson said: “I’d like to thank everyone at the home for such a lovely farewell. I will certainly miss colleagues and many of the residents who I have got to know well over the years. I wish them – and Benson of course – best of luck for the future.”
