Today, Wednesday 1, July marks the first day of changes to the ILF for those based in England.
Those who were eligible for ILF were often said to be some of the most severely disabled people in the UK. It has been used predominantly to help people pay for carers and personal assistants.
From today, those living in England will receive all of their support from the local council instead of from the Government. Outside of England these changes are not as drastic.
For more info on the changes to ILF you can check out BBC online here who have put together a short guide outlining the changes.
