Disabled children’s charity Newlife are to enjoy a very happy start to 2019 after staff at specialist equipment distributor Jiraffe and manufacturer Jenx have hit their fundraising target in their first ever charity of the year partnership, with a fantastic £5000 on its way to the leading charity.
Family business Jiraffe and parent company Jenx rallied to support Newlife through bake sales and took on the Yorkshire Warrior obstacle challenge in a bid to reach their target in their first charity partnership, as well as attending and supporting Newlife’s pop up volunteering events.
Chris Fielding, Newlife’s Corporate Partnerships Manager, said: “There are 1.1 million disabled children in the UK today and demand for our services has never been greater, which is why partnerships like this one are vitally important.
“As a direct result of the generosity and commitment of the staff at Jiraffe and Jenx, Newlife will be able to provide specialist equipment to more disabled children in crisis situations to alleviate their pain and suffering and to give them the chance to be the best they can be. We are extremely grateful to Jiraffe and Jenx and very proud to have been chosen as their very first charity partner too!”
