ACCESS ALL ROOMSChristmas is a time of joy, festivity and delightful surprises. Who doesn’t enjoy a getaway over the Christmas period?

Make sure you don’t leave your planning until the last minute and lose out on the best destinations. James Price, Founder of gives you the low down on planning your trip this winter.

“I’m a great believer in getting out and about during the Christmas period and joining in on another culture’s festive celebrations. There’s crazy amounts to see and experience, so whether you’re booking a surprise getaway for someone special or you fancy organising a shopping trip, don’t let anything hold you back.

“Most importantly, location, there’s endless amounts of destinations to choose from. Prague, for example, is a stunning setting for Christmas with picturesque gothic architecture set behind some spectacular markets. If this doesn’t ring any bells for you, then Venice is one I often put at the top of my list, once you’re done shopping there’s some unforgettable restaurants available with relaxed service that will add some fun to your usual festive celebrations.

“Another thing to bare in mind for many booking their trip away is access requirements. Like myself, there’s a lot of people out there who are in need of specialised adaptations to make their stay enjoyable. My experiences led me to create my website, This hosts a great array of hotels, all listing the information needed to decide whether the accommodation is suitable or not.

“My top tip for a short break closer to home this Christmas: Book into our London Marble Arch Hotel and enjoy the ‘Winter Wonderland’ in Hyde Park literally across the road, or even book in for a private, wheelchair accessible, pod on the big wheel overlooking the amazing sights. Go and see a west end show or two and then book into our London Tower Bridge hotel offering unrivalled romantic views of Tower Bridge and the spectacular Christmas lights.

Is August too soon to be thinking about Christmas? Never. When it comes to booking a holiday, the time comes round quicker than you can imagine. So beat the race of everyone at work trying to get their holiday in, and get yours organised sooner rather than later.”
