ABOUT US

Newton Meadows Holiday Cottages were designed and are run by the family with the less able guest in mind. The cottages were converted from a traditional cow shed called a shippon into superb accommodation attaining a 4 star rating from the tourist organisation. We are open all year and complimentary Wi-Fi is provided.

The three terraced cottages all have some ground floor bedrooms and cater for 4 / 7 / 7 guests. Due to our design all the accommodation has level access, wide doorways, wheel in shower rooms providing easy access for wheelchair users.

To the front of the property we have a large car park for unloading and loading with easy access to the entrance. To the rear a sun room leads to a large lawn with a fishing pond for wheelchair or mobility scooter access.

An ideal place to relax in the countryside and all it has to offer but close to the market town of Shrewsbury.

There are Grand Houses and Gardens to visit, some belonging to the National Trust and some privately owned. Belonging to the National Trust, Attingham Park, Erddig, Powis Castle and Chirk Castle and Stokesay. Privately owned, Wollerton Gardens, Dorothy Clive Gardens, Hawkstone Park and Follies. The beautiful Dingle Garden in the Quarry Park in Shrewsbury owned by the local authority, originally designed by Percy Thrower and the home of the Shrewsbury Flower Show.

Shropshire has a good selection of Country Inns and Restaurants.

A warm welcome, well stocked and immaculately clean cottage.  Well located for the wedding at St. Chad’s, Shrewsbury (worth a visit) and the the reception venue at Shootershill Hall.  Also visited the beautiful gardens at Powys Castle (near Welshpool) – a National Trust property.  Thank you for a fabulous stay.  We wish to return again.
