A care home in Renfrewshire has treated its residents to a Valentine’s Day with a difference, by hosting a romantic tea party for residents and their loved ones.
Bupa’s Braemount Care Home, in Paisley, held the special occasion on 14 February and provided residents and their other halves, who live outside the home, with a traditional Afternoon Tea.
Staff at the care home provided the loved-up couples and residents with a delicious spread of finger sandwiches and champagne, all while keeping the tea flowing, and a local bakery kindly donated a batch of heart-decorated Valentine’s cupcakes.
Kate McConville, Home Manager at Bupa’s Braemount Care Home, organised the event with help from staff to make sure everyone had an enjoyable day.
She said: “Valentine’s is such a special day for couples and it’s no different whatever age you are.
“We wanted to make sure our residents could celebrate the occasion with their loved ones, so we brought the occasion to them.
“All the staff worked hard to make sure the afternoon was a great success, and were on hand to provide our couples and residents with a memorable Afternoon Tea experience.”
