15-21 June 2020 is World Continence Week.

#AD

Research from incontinence experts Ontex Healthcare revealed that nearly half of the women surveyed (48%) are too embarrassed to talk to their friends about bladder weakness yet only 18% are embarrassed to talk to their GP.

With this week being World Continence Week, Ontex believes it’s important that men and women alike don’t suffer in silence when it comes to incontinence. Only 2% of women said they would go to a friend to talk about this topic and 82% said that the key word they associated with bladder weakness is embarrassment.

Ontex exclusively specialises in products for continence management, including products for light, advanced, male and junior continence through its range of iD products. The products offer an acquisition technology for ultra-fast liquid absorption which keeps liquid locked in the pad as well as anti-leakage protection, fast absorption and odour control.

The latest range of absorbing underwear for women provides total confidence with no compromise on femininity. Intime provides maximum protection and the low waist has been designed with discretion and comfort in mind, whilst also absorbing eight times its own weight.

The innovative hipster shape brings a perfect fit that works with any outfit, to provide a comfortable sensation and maximum wear-ability for the user. The thin core means that women will never feel a bulky sensation when wearing it.

With advanced odour control and dry-wear technology, Intime delivers 10 hours of freshness and a seamless fit with cotton-like fabric so it looks and feels like regular underwear.

Alex Shaw, marketing manager for the UK and Ireland comments: “This World Continence Week we’re encouraging all men and women to open up and talk more openly about incontinence. One in three women in the UK suffers from incontinence so there really is nothing to be embarrassed or ashamed about. We recognise the emotional challenge women face when they move from liners to pads and want to make this transition as smooth as possible. With Intime women will have discretion, comfort and flexibility and won’t feel like they are wearing incontinence pads.”

Intime starts from £8.99 (pack of 12) and can be purchased at www.id-direct.com, a wide selection of online retailers and independent retailers nationwide.
