Multifaceted Paralympic champion Kadeena Cox has been revealed as one of the contestants on this year’s Celebrity Bake Off.

The gold medal winning athlete will face-off with a host of other famous faces in the big white tent, including comedian Tim Minchin, Scottish Conservatives leader Ruth Davidson, and national treasure Harry Hill among others.

Kadeena will be swapping her sprinting gear for an apron, where she’ll be taking part in the classic Bake Off challenges, being asked to create towering showstoppers and terrifying technical challenges by judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith, and show hosts Noel Fielding and Sandi Toksvig.

This celebrity edition of The Great British Bake Off is part of Channel 4’s annual Stand Up to Cancer fundraiser, which began in 2012, and has raised more than £38 million for Cancer Research UK in their fight against the illness.

The show will be just one of many celebrity specials on Channel 4 for the event, including a special Stand Up to Cancer episode of The Last Leg, Celebrity First Dates, and a Gogglebox Celebrity Special.
