3331_lCharity the Surrey Association for Visual Impairment (SAVI) will be officially re-launched as Sight for Surrey at an event on 3rd March 2014 at The Lightbox in Woking.

The event, titled ‘Pushing the Boundaries – a new-look charity with more than 90 years experience’ has been designed to allow guests to drop in for some or all of the afternoon and the charity hopes people will visit even for a short amount of time to gain a snapshot of what they do. Visitors can hear from a selection of innovative speakers and meet exhibitors who will showcase products aimed at assisting people with visual impairments.

On offer in the morning is a taster training session whereby businesses can learn more about employing people and/or improving their customer service to people with a visual impairment.

An inspiring line up of individuals will speak on the day, such as David Gold (joint chairman of West Ham United Football Club and owner of Gold Group International, incorporating Ann Summers, Gold Aviation and Knickerbox), and Mike Newman (former three times Guinness Blind Land Speed record holder).

Also on offer is a two-hour visual impairment training taster session for £20 per person from 10am-12pm, including brunch in a bag.
