The multimedia creator has teamed up with specialist job board Evenbreak, to actively attract disabled candidates to roles within their company

As part of their commitment to being an inclusive employer of choice, ViacomCBS Networks International has partnered with Evenbreak, the UK’s most accessible job board, run by and for disabled people – helping talented disabled candidates and inclusive employers to find each other.

This move will see ViacomCBS, one of the leading global multimedia creators, promote their UK opportunities across the Evenbreak platform, attracting the very best diverse talent from people with disabilities across the UK. As they launch their 2021 UK Apprenticeship opportunities, their aim is to offer two opportunities specifically to the Evenbreak community.

Furthermore, all of ViacomCBS’ internally advertised jobs now include signposting to Evenbreak’s specialist disability career coaching service provided free-to-use for all disabled candidates. This builds on their continued commitment to create an environment of inclusion and belonging, and content that reflects, celebrates and elevates the diversity of their audiences.

83% of disabled people were not born with their impairment, they in fact acquired them as adults. And 2% of people of working age become disabled, or acquire a long-term health condition, every year. Disabled people share the same life goals as everyone else, and that includes finding fulfilling work. ViacomCBS recognises this, and seeks to use this Evenbreak partnership to diversify their workforce, to ultimately help them to connect the world, create culture, mark the moments that matter to us all and make meaningful and lasting change.

Commenting on the partnership, Catherine Pereira, Director of Talent Acquisition said: “Our partnership with Evenbreak will see us not only engage with fantastic talent but give us an opportunity to empower and champion individuals with disabilities into a career within ViacomCBS. We believe that everyone should be given opportunities to pursue careers paths by being their true selves. Being who you truly are brings out the best in yourself and our company”.

Founder and director of Evenbreak, Jane Hatton said: “We are delighted to be working with ViacomCBS. They are a forward-thinking company who are genuinely embedding inclusion into everything they do, and our candidates will be really well-suited to their roles”.
