Heroes Project To Launch A Truly Inclusive Radio Station

The Manchester-based Heroes Project is to claim another first, as it launches the UK’s first truly inclusive radio station, LDOK.net on Thursday 1st November at 6pm.

The new station will broadcast from its home in Salford Quays with a line up of music DJs, presenters, liver performances, guest shows and round the clock programming. ‘Movies helped… they saved me from shame’: Steven Spielberg opens up about dyslexia battle

He has a career spanning nearly 40 years, and a life most people envy.  But scratch beneath the surface, and Steven Spielberg is just a very ordinary man with ordinary problems – even struggling from dyslexia.  The Schindler’s List hero was only diagnosed five years ago, and credits filmmaking with helping him to express himself.  He said: ‘I never felt like a victim. Movies really helped me… kind of saved me from shame, from guilt. Making movies was my great escape.’  Speaking to the Friends of Quinn website, the Oscar-winner added: ‘When I felt like an outsider, movies made me feel inside my own skill set.’ [Read more...]
