Channel 4 has launched the Paras Production Training Scheme and applications must be in by 21 June, so it’s your last chance to show your interest.

This programme is aimed exclusively at disabled people, as disabled people are currently underrepresented in the media industry. This is something that Channel 4 want to change. They have committed to recruiting and promoting more disabled talent in television.

There is no experience required to apply for this role so if it is something you are passionate about why not turn in an application. Sixteen successful applicants will be given the opportunity to work for an independent production company during 2019-20, starting their television careers with Channel 4.

It is a 12-month paid opportunity, working with an independent production company that makes content for Channel 4. The opportunity also includes industry training and support from ThinkBIGGER! This is an entry-level scheme aimed at people with no or limited industry experience.

Opportunities will be available across the UK, potential placements include London, Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds, Cardiff and Glasgow.
