Team GB saw 6 medals in total throughout the evening, in all events they competed in. The evening saw a Silver from Scott Quin in the Men’s 100m Breaststroke SB14, Andy Mullen scooping another silver in the Men’s 50m Backstroke S5, narrowly missing the Gold to Brazil’s Daniel Dias ahead of the Paralympic Games at Rio next year. The Women’s S7 100m freestyle saw Susie Rogers win Bronze.
The S9 100m Men’s and Women’s Backstroke finals also saw Silver for GB with James Crisp and Tully Kearney respectively.
The final Silver of the night went to Ellie Simmonds in the S6 400m Freestyle Final.
The first world record of the night was from Belarus’ Ihar Boki, in the Men’s 50m Freestyle S13 at 23:20, Boki previously held the word record at 23:21, another was set by Australian Ellie Cole who set a record earlier today in the heats as well.
