A Stroke Association study has shown a rise in the number of men and women of working age admitted to hospital due to a stroke. Unhealthy lifestyles, a growing population and different hospital practices have been cited as playing a part. The charity has confirmed however that the overall stroke rate has decreased in the UK. Strokes in young people ‘rising’, study finds
