Have your say and influence the changes that could make sport and physical activity for wheelchair users better.
WheelPower’s ‘#Talk About Taking Part’ survey, carried out by consumer research charity Rica, aims to find out what can be done to help more wheelchair users lead healthy active lives and take part in sport.
WheelPower is keen to find the views of those who don’t take part in any sport as well as those of people who already lead active lives. The survey aims to:
- find out how many wheelchair users take part in sports and activities
- understand any barriers to getting involved
- use the results to shape WheelPower’ s strategy in the future
- help make access and inclusion a priority in sport
Latest figures from Sport England show that four out of five disabled people are currently not active, but seven in ten want to increase the amount of sport and physical activity they take part in.
Tracey Proudlock, wheelchair tennis player and Rica trustee, says:
“Please help us to help you by giving just a few minutes of your time. We want to give everyone every chance they might need to participate and develop – as a non-player of any sport, a total newcomer, or someone just wanting to develop their existing game.”
